ABOUT MAVEN

Maven is being established by the current owners and senior management of ETM Group Limited (“ETM”), an operator of 13 premium bars, pubs and restaurants in Central London including rooftop bar Aviary, The Botanist Sloane Square, premium sports bars Greenwood, Westwood and Redwood and its brew and sports pub, Long Arm Pub & Brewery. Since its formation in 2003, the family-owned group has grown from a single site to a business turning over c.£35m and generating c.£3.2m EBITDA with no external equity funding.

The founders have identified the opportunity to establish an independent entity to take advantage of favourable market conditions and to raise third party capital to fund anticipated growth over the next 3 to 5 years. The team’s sector knowledge and expertise will provide Maven with the industry relationships to gain access to suitable sites and with the well-demonstrated capability to drive growth within the new company.

THE TEAM

Ed Martin

Founded ETM with his brother, Tom, in 2003 with a single pub and has been responsible for the subsequent growth. Ed is responsible for the strategic direction of Maven and will take a direct lead in the property function, undertaking the initial assessment of potential sites and leading negotiations.

Landen Prescott Brann

Joined ETM in 2016 from Itsu where he had spent 4 years helping to grow the business from 30 to 70 sites. Previously he was CEO/CFO at the Hospital Club and spent 10 years at PepsiCo in many senior finance roles including CFO Pepsi UK & Ireland. Landen will be responsible for overseeing finance, property, commercial, legal and IT functions of Maven as well as providing strategic input.

Graham Turner

Former Chairman of The Liberation Group and CEO at Casual Dining Group (formerly Tragus Group) and The Unique Pub Company. Graham is currently Non-Executive Chairman of ETM, Non-Executive Chairman of Barburrito, a group of Mexican fast casual restaurants, Non-Executive Chairman of Sessions Market, a food hall and food brand accelerator business and Non-Executive Director of Danish bakery business Ole & Steen. He provides a broad strategic overview to the business in addition to leveraging his network to deliver new site opportunities.
